Bill Clinton Says “Barack Obama Will Be The Next President”
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton was selected to cover the February 2012 issue of Esquire Magazine, where he talks about political topics such as the potential Republican candidates, the Clinton Global Initiative and why he thinks President Barack Obama has the upcoming 2012 election in the bag.
On GOP candidates Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney:
“With someone like Newt Gingrich, it’s a different kettle of fish. Because as a private citizen he was for certain important health-care reforms and believed in climate change and believed there had to be a strong reaction to it. And now he’s just like Romney. Neither one of them can say what they believe to be true and get nominated. Romney’s still trying to figure out what he did as governor of Massachusetts and still appeal to this driving vituperative energy.”
On why he thinks President Obama will win the election:
“I think Barack Obama will be the next president. I think he will win. Because I think that whatever feelings the American people have about their own conditions and however much they may wish he had moved more quickly, I think that they will conclude that it takes a long time to get out of the kind of economic distress we were in and that his direction and policies are more likely to move us out of that than if they give the White House and the Congress to a party that will give them more of what they just had.”
On his ‘Clinton Global Initiative’ (CGI), which helps bring jobs to America that would otherwise be sent overseas:
“I just kept feeling that there was more possibility to create jobs in America without some huge government initiative. That if we could get businesses that are doing well together with people with good ideas, and with people that are doing training, and with banks that are willing to loan money under certain circumstances, then we could do some good. That’s what led to CGI America. And the commitments we’ve gotten will create or fill existing vacancies that haven’t been filled in months for more than 150,000 jobs and give more than twice that many people more-relevant job training. We also got another $265 million in direct commitments for investments of low-interest loans to small entrepreneurs, which is a big deal because the small-business loan rate in many areas has been going down even as the demand for the loans has recovered and, according to Pepperdine University, about 40 percent of American small businesses surveyed said they would hire more people if they could get the financing to do it.”
Drake Says He Won't Respond To Common Diss, Is Recording New Music
After Common said the beef was over, Drizzy says he won't entertain the battle in the future.
Common recently said that he is ready to move on from the beef with Drake, to which Drizzy has finally broken his silence. On the set of the video for “The Motto” with The Weeknd, Nah Right’s Nation spoke with the Young Money rapper who said he wouldn’t record another diss track towards Com and said that he used the beef to promote his latest album, The Dreamer, The Believer.
“No. Because despite how it’s been worded by him that situation is not a ‘hip hop moment’ or a ‘battle for the sake of musical integrity’…it’s a ploy for attention around the release of an album,” he said. “More than anything it was just disappointing cause what kid isn’t a fan of what Common has done for our genre. A guy who made such an incredible career for himself based off expressing genuine feelings about life and love is now targeting me for sharing my story.
”
Additionally, Drake said that he plans to tour through 2012 and has already begun recording new music.
“I have begun working on new music already and I’ll be recording during the whole college tour with 40. Making better music and building myself as a business is all that’s on my mind. Hopefully some acting as well.”
French Montana Says He's The First Bad Boy Artist To Own His Publishing
French explains that it's one of the reasons he signed with the house that Diddy built. French Montana vetted a bidding war over the past few months, only to end up signing with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. But according to French, he inked the deal on his own terms, making him the first artist in the history of Bad Boy to own his publishing.
Speaking with Real Talk NY, he revealed that Puff did him right by allowing him to own the rights to his tracks.
“I think I’m the first person - and I ain’t tell this to nobody - I’m the first person in the whole history of Bad Boy not to sign my publishing to Bad Boy or Puff,” he said. “Everything I asked for, Puff kept his word. In my eyes, he a real nigga for that. So far, so good. I have no complaints.
”
While he wouldn’t comment on other artists who have been burned by Puff in the past, French said that it’s a matter of getting good lawyers who can interpret the contracts.
“I feel like a person, as a man, should never judge somebody on his situation with other people. You should always judge a person based on their situation with you.
The situation you got with each other is the only way you can judge a man,” he continued. “I find it kind of weird. How can someone jerk you and give you the paperwork for your lawyer to see… It’s not like they’re tricking you. It’s not like words get up in the middle of the night and change on the contract. You just gotta get good lawyers. Of course, Puff is going to have the best lawyers.”
Vestax PDX-3000 Mix Turntable
Vestax has been in business since 1977 but through the 80s on to the 90s the brand took on making a wide range of pro audio equipment but namely, turntables. The Vestax turntable set out to compete directly with Technics tables and have held their own thus far.
However, what the brand has been missing until now in the turntable arena is the S-Arm for easier scratching and mixing.
Recently, the company rolled out the Vestax PDX 3000 Mix Turntable that has improved sound pickup and output, better tracking and a more durable overall design.
Vestax also included a torque simulator for greater pitch control and mixing capabilities but the hook aside for the new S-Arm is midi output. The PDX 3000 Mix is the first turntable with this functionality. You can grab this new Vestax turntable later this month for $516.

la Guinée aura bientôt son usine de fabrique de modules solaires
Plus de 20 000 emplois et un investissement de plus de 3 milliards de dollars américain, c'est à dire le bénéfice que le projet d'énergie solaire, de DACC Associates LLC-MAMSKA Guinea LTD et la société d'électricité de Guinée (EDG) ont annoncé ce mardi 24 janvier à Conakry. Le projet d'énergie solaire de 1000 MW est à 100% financé par le partenaire américain DACC. Dans ses activités, il sera assisté par des sociétés financières internationales intervenant dans le secteur de l'énergie renouvelable, a déclaré le président directeur de Mamaska Guinea, représentant exclusif DACC Associates USA, en Guinée. Ce projet, va produire de l'énergie qui sera vendue à l'EDG. Après avoir atteint les objectifs du projet durant 7 ans maximum, les centrales et tout le matériel reviendront à l'Etat Guinéen.
Il faut toutefois souligner que le partenaire compte installer une usine de fabrication des panneaux solaires aux normes internationales, afin de satisfaire les demandes au niveau du pays et d'exporter vers la région. Une ambition de taille ! A l'avenir, on peut noter sans risque de se tromper que la Guinée deviendra ainsi si ce projet se réalise, le deuxième pays Africain à avoir une unité de fabrication sur son sol, après l'usine de la SPEC à Dakar, Sénégal. Pour cette énergie solaire, le Directeur général de DACC Associates LLC a assuré que " l'Etat ne doit rien payer à la société. La seule garantie, c'est que l'énergie consommée n'est pas gratuite.
Les travaux de ce projet vont bientôt commencer pour permettre à la Guinée d'avoir de l'électricité en permanence.

A College Park, Georgia woman is holding Cash Money Records accountable for an incident that took place last year.

Accuser Nicole Westmoreland says that the label is responsible for the events that transpired last year.
The College Park, Georgia woman says that she was invited to a studio for a meeting, but was sexually assaulted by Cash Money associate Alfred Cleveland, who is already serving time for the attack.
The Hip Hop moguls allegedly offered her $100,000 to remain silent on the incident, but she refused, claiming that they then threatened to kill her if she didn’t comply.
Westmoreland says that she has had to seek treatment at a mental hospital after experiencing suicidal thoughts. She is seeking unspecified damages.

CAN: la Guinée se relance, le Ghana s'approche des quarts
Le Ghana a fait un grand pas vers les quarts de finale de la CAN-2012 en battant le Mali (2-0), tandis que la Guinée se relançait dans le groupe D en atomisant le Botswana (6-1), samedi à Franceville. Avec deux victoires, le Ghana n'a plus besoin que d'un nul lors de son dernier match. Même une défaite, en fonction du résultat de l'autre rencontre, pourrait le propulser en quart de finale.
Le finaliste de la CAN-2010, après une première période soporifique, s'est réveillé et a frappé deux fois par Gyan sur coup franc (63e) et Andre Ayew (76e). Il a montré un léger mieux par rapport à son petit succès sur le Botswana (1-0). Le Mali, pour sa part, n'aura guère été dangereux, hormis ce coup franc de Diabaté heurtant les deux poteaux (38e). L'équipe d'Alain Giresse reste néanmoins dans la course à la qualification avant d'affronter le Botswana mercredi. Dans une CAN aux scores dans l'ensemble serrés, la Guinée a réagi de manière flamboyante après sa déconvenue initiale (défaite 1-0 face au Mali), en balayant un faible Botswana, réduit à dix avant la pause. Le sélectionneur du Botswana Stanley Tshosane avait avancé qu'il allait prendre des risques, après avoir été très prudent face au Ghana, lorsque les Zèbres avaient tenu en respect le Ghana (défaite 1-0 seulement). La Guinée en a profité pour prendre les espaces et renvoyer le néophyte à ses études."Il nous fallait une victoire parce que nous ne voulions pas rentrer à la maison, a souligné l'entraîneur du Syli national, Michel Dussuyer. Nous n'avons pas eu de chance contre le Mali, mais nous sommes très satisfaits d'avoir marqué autant de buts dans ce match".

Etre Noir en France c'est être l'héritier de plusieurs siècles de luttes, de sacrifices et de passions pour obtenir la liberté, l'égalité et la fraternité. C'est aussi une histoire de rencontres et de combats partagés. Pour la première fois, une grande série documentaire nous plonge au cœur d'une histoire encore mal connue, avec ses pages sombres et ses moments de lumière.
